The role
Affinity Water have an opportunity for a PMO Senior Data & Insights Analyst; the role is ideal for Senior Project Managers and Programme Managers who seek career growth by supporting projects, programmes, portfolio in delivery whilst meeting business strategic goals.
You will be highly motivated and passionate. This is varied and a busy role, whereby communication skills are key. You will have a keen desire to learn & develop and challenge the status quo. This role is a critical function within our Project Management Office to enable effective & efficient running of our Projects within Affinity Water’s Capital Portfolio.
This role is within the Asset Strategy and Capital Delivery Directorate and reports to the PMO Manager within Investment Programme Management (IPM) team. The IPM comprises of the following teams: Investment Estimating, Investment Portfolio, Investment Risk & Planning, Programme Management Office, and closely collaborates with other Business Partner’s support (e.g. finance, commercial).
What you'll be doing
- Subject Matter Expert for Oracle Fusion in Capital Investment Programme (training will be provided)
- Create and maintain a library of Training Material on Oracle Fusion for Capital Projects and front-line delivery teams
- Management of budget actions, e.g. PMO Document Control Project Authorisation Papers, registration and Change Control
- PMO technical secretariat function considering budget governance compliance and internal stakeholder engagement throughout the lifecycle of the project
- Compliant, accurate and live data on Fusion considering budget management and control of Project Workflows (Change Control, Budget, Pending Close Projects)
- Responsible for providing budget interpretation analysis upon financial reporting budget spend and forecast information.
- Provide analysis on programme delivery activities aiming to deliver target efficiency and innovation to meet business needs
- Provide monthly analysis by identifying and managing RAID items within the Capital Projects, Programmes, Portfolio budget considering Business Delivery Plan and escalate where appropriate.
- Prepare monthly high-quality report and presentation with data for informed decision-making to the Head of IPM for Totex Governance and Totex Committee (Capital Expenditure Approvals Bodies)
What you need
- Ideally Degree qualified in engineering, Project Management (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
- Ideally hold or be willing to work towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent.
- A strong level of experience of project management within water industry.
- Water industry and business knowledge with prior involvement in delivering projects within a regulated infrastructure environment.
- Familiar with Project costs, Change Control, Reporting, Risk & Opportunities and Planning.
- Highly numerate with the ability to understand and analyse data
