Portuguese Teacher

Location: Covent Garden, London

Start Date: 9th February

Hours: This is a part-time position. We are looking for a teacher to deliver in-person courses in the evenings (18:30 – 20:30).

The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Dutch teachers

As part of IH London, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a supportive, international community of teachers, with access to resources, professional development, and a lively student community.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-qualityDutchlessons to adult learners.
• Design creative and effective learning materials.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Create an inclusive and motivating classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards.
• Complete attendance records and progress reports as needed.

Essential Skills & Requirements

• Right to work in the UK (must be UK-based).
• Proficiency in Dutch (native or near-native level– C2).
• Fluent English.
• Initial teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CELTAcertificate).

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

• Degree inDutchLanguage & Literature, or in Modern Languages.
• Experience teaching both group and individual lessons.
• Flexibility to teach additional evening courses.
