Brief Description
Anglia route is looking for a Possession Planning Manager to lead and manage the delivery of the access plan, working closely with internal Network Rail and external work deliverers to achieve an efficient and integrated plan.
About The Role (External)
Every day will be different, but key responsibilities will include:
- Co-ordinate Network Rail teams to resolve access conflicts for non-disruptive access.
- Lead the non-disruptive planning process to produce possession plans that are in accordance with the relevant industry and company standards.
- Contribute to the performance, development and succession planning of team members to promote a cohesive and high performing team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Network Rail planning teams, Route Network Rail’s Maintenance teams and Contractors.
- Promote and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
- Undertake the role in a way that is consistent with, and reinforces, Network Rail’s values.
- Coach, guide and mentor Access Planning Specialists and Access Planners in the use of planning and analysis tools and techniques.
We are looking for someone who meets the below criteria:
- Proven ability of already leading and working within the GB rail industry in train and access planning teams, with a strong understanding of the components required to deliver the planned timetable.
- Proven and demonstrable ability of building organisational capability through the development and implementation of processes and business disciplines
- Proven experience in developing high-performing teams
- Ability to influence at a senior level
- Proven ability to engage with customers and build collaborative relationships with stakeholders at a senior level
- Substantial proven experience in delivering to agreed timescales and standards.
- Knowledge of Network Code and Track Access Conditions
It’s not essential, but we would love it if you have:
- Educated to degree standard, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience
- Knowledge of relevant railway geography and network capability
- Knowledge of relevant train services and network capacity
- Knowledge of possession parameters

We follow a structured pay framework:
Band 3C £55,596 - £63,797
