We are looking to appoint to a Post CCT Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with an interest in assisted conception to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The appointment is to commence September 2025 for a fixed term period of 12 months. This post is intended for someone who has completed their training (post CCT) and is on the specialist register (within 6 months of CCT by the time of interview.). It is expected they would be intending to pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with an interest in Reproductive Medicine and Assisted Conception. The post does not award a National Training Number. As this post is not recognised as a ‘training post’, full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their own clinical skills and be involved in service review and development. Opportunities for undertaking research will also be available and the post holder will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.
The post is mainly based in the Assisted Conception Unit of the Jessop Wing. Duties will include clinical work with patients of the unit, management of superovulation cycles, oocyte collection, embryo transfer and post-treatment counselling. You will also be responsible for on-going care for women admitted to the gynaecological wards of the hospital following complications of Assisted Conception treatment and will participate in the on-call rota for the Assisted Conception Unit.
