Do you want to be part of a team shaping the delivery of a complex, high-value, global portfolio of capital projects?

A key Government department in London are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join a high-performing Portfolio Management Office (PMO) in central government. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving performance, reporting, and data visualisation across a large, diverse estates portfolio, helping senior leaders make critical strategic decisions.

About the Role

You’ll be developing innovative and visually compelling dashboards and reports using Power BI to track, monitor, and report on a £1.5bn+ capital portfolio across more than 100 live global projects.

You'll work directly with heads of departments, analysts, engineers, and other key stakeholders to design tailored reporting solutions and support strategic planning.

What You’ll Be Doing

Dashboard Development: Build dynamic and user-friendly reports with advanced visuals, drill-throughs, and interactivity.
Data Integration & Modelling: Connect to sources like Excel, SharePoint, Azure, and more. Build efficient ETL processes and optimised data models.
Collaboration: Engage with business users to understand requirements, translate into technical specs, and deliver impactful solutions.
Governance: Ensure data access controls are in place and reports meet compliance and performance standards.
Deployment & Maintenance: Manage report publishing, workspace organisation, and version control.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement enhancements, participate in code reviews, and promote best practices.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
Experienced: Deep understanding of Power BI (incl. DAX, Power Query, M language), data modelling, and data transformation.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with multiple data sources including Azure, SharePoint, and Microsoft Fabric.
User-Centric: Skilled in UX/UI principles to ensure reports are intuitive and visually compelling.
Detail-Oriented: Accuracy and consistency are second nature to you.
Collaborative: A strong team player who also thrives independently.
Creative & Proactive: You bring new ideas and solutions to data challenges with a can-do attitude.
