About The Role

As a Power BI developer you’ll be responsible for delivering MI reporting across the NCC business and perform all aspects of report development lifecycle from requirements gathering to development, delivery and maintenance. In addition, you will act as the champion for MI and reporting within the NCC business.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Gathering reporting requirements from users, providing clear Functional and Technical design documentation, developing and delivering reports
  • Evaluating, fixing and improving existing complex Power BI reports re-engineering or rescoping where necessary (requiring in-depth knowledge of D365 F&O and Project Operations)
  • Maintaining and developing SQL database using advanced knowledge of DML and DDL.
  • Responsible for ensuring governance processes around reporting are adhered to.
  • Troubleshooting and respond to reporting incidents
  • Administering Power BI and report access alongside IT operations team
  • Leading on power BI training with support of the L&D department
  • Ensuring all report related processes, procedures, documentation, and policies are maintained, up to date and disseminated across the business accordingly
  • Working with the entire organisation as the Power BI champion
  • Proactively explore opportunities to improve the standard of reporting across the NCC and advise on new avenues of MI

So, what are we looking for?

  • Extensive experience in end-to-end report development lifecycle from requirements gathering to delivery
  • Report using D365 FO and Project Operations as a data source
  • Strong SQL development expertise (Stored Procedures, Views, Common Table Expressions, Performance Tuning)
  • Demonstrated experience in data warehouse design, including schema development, ETL pipelines, and optimization for reporting use cases
  • Strong understanding of Data architecture Data governance principles, best practice and experience with ETL concepts
