Power Platform Developer

London (Hybrid)

Salary up to £60,000

Nigel Frank is hiring on behalf of an industry leader - they require a Power Platform Developer to help build the next generation of automation, integration, and AI-enabled solutions across the organisation.

This role is ideal for a developer with hands-on Power Platform experience who wants to go beyond purely Microsoft-native tooling and gain exposure to third-party systems, complex integrations, custom plug-ins, and AI agents.

You’ll work alongside experienced architects and engineers, contributing to solution design while delivering scalable, real-world applications that support critical business functions. There’s a clear progression path into senior developer, integration specialist, or solution architect roles.

What You’ll Be Doing

Building Solutions & Automations

Design and develop applications using Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI.
Create automated workflows that improve processes across Finance, HR, IT, Operations, and customer-facing teams.

Build and support custom plug-ins, extensions, and advanced configurations to meet complex business requirements.

Develop and maintain API-based integrations using REST APIs, custom connectors, cloud flows, and proven integration patterns.

Deliver AI-enabled solutions using Copilot Studio, Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI services, and agent-based automation tools.

Integrate Power Platform solutions with third-party platforms such as Salesforce, finance systems, and external SaaS applications.

Delivery, Support & Optimisation

Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical tasks.
Support testing, deployment, and release activities across Dev / Test / Prod environments.
Monitor live solutions, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimise performance and reliability.
Work closely with senior engineers on documentation, architecture alignment, and best practices.

Governance & Collaboration

Contribute to Power Platform governance, including environment strategy, DLP policies, and ALM workflows.

Follow coding standards and participate in peer reviews, including plug-in and integration code reviews.

Support Centre of Excellence (CoE) initiatives and share knowledge with the wider team.

Collaborate with Product Owners, analysts, architects, and external vendors in an Agile environment.

What We’re Looking For

Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, or similar low-code platforms.
3–5 years’ overall experience in software development, automation, or systems integration.
Proven experience integrating Power Platform with third-party systems (e.g. Salesforce, finance platforms, SaaS tools).
Exposure to Dataverse, SQL, REST APIs, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
Experience supporting or building custom plug-ins or extensions in Power Platform or Dynamics environments..
Exposure to AI or agent-based automation (Copilot Studio, OpenAI, or similar) is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model-Driven)

Power Automate (cloud flows; RPA a bonus)

Dataverse or SQL

REST APIs and integration patterns

Third-party system integrations

AI / agent-based automation (Copilot Studio, OpenAI)

C#, JavaScript, or Python experience is a strong plus

Basic Power BI reporting and data modelling
