Account Director/Senior Account Director – Strategic Communications (Financial services)
- Location: London (Hybrid)
- Salary: £55K - £70K
An award-winning international communications consultancy is looking for a dynamic and commercially savvy Account Director/Senior Account Director to join its London office.
You’ll take the lead across a portfolio of high-profile clients spanning financial services and fintech. The agency’s approach is smart, strategic, and integrated — combining media, content, and crisis expertise with deep sector knowledge.
This is a senior client-facing role with responsibility for shaping comms strategy, driving growth across your accounts, and mentoring a team.
The role will involve:
- Leading senior-level client relationships, including C-suite
- Designing and delivering integrated PR and communications strategies
- Overseeing content development and press engagement
- Growing client revenue through upsell and organic expansion
- Leading and mentoring a talented team across multiple accounts
- Playing a hands-on role in new business and agency development
About you:
- Agency-side experience at SAM/AD level
- A strong understanding of financial services
- Excellent client counsel skills and ability to translate business goals into smart comms
- Confident managing large accounts, budgets and integrated campaigns
- Proven track record of team management, organic growth and commercial thinking
- Comfortable handling issues and crisis comms when needed
