DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
Our client's Publicity department constantly strives to create and maintain a best-in-class position within the industry. The publicity team is tasked with strategically positioning, promoting but also protecting the launch of all of their titles.
ROLE SPECIFICATIONS:
This role is broken down in:
- Administration and PR team general support:
- Daily delivery and analysis of press cuttings and collating and organising coverage
- Materials Management including distributing assets to press
- Mailing list maintenance and upkeep
- Working with the PR Manager to create and send out press blasts and asset launches to our database
- Analyse competitor publicity activities and campaigns
- Monitor performance of select suppliers
- Deal with telephone and email enquiries from the press and public
- Upkeep of forthcoming projects document
- Report management – including filing coverage reports, wrap reports, screening reports for the department
- Screening Management including bookings, security, logistics, RSVPs, screening list management and checking in attendees
- Liaison with the wider PR admin team re-consolidation, support, and innovation across the whole slate
- Tour management
- Junket and premiere logistics including supporting the team with updating key tour documents, including printing schedules and staffing documents
- During tours, working across press check or as tour assistant / runner at junkets
- Merchandise management and distribution
- Overseeing poster and one sheet orders, door signs and stationary delivery to junket location
- General management of the WBD intern hub for the WBD PR department
- Working closely with the PR film intern to split tasks and responsibilities and ensure they are completing their workload
- Opportunity for growth and managing additional interns across the PR department
- There will be limited diary management for the VP of Publicity
To complete these projects, you will need to liaise with both company personnel in the UK and US, and agencies working with us by telephone, email and in person. You will need to be a confident communicator. You should have good research skills and follow through on projects ensuring their completion.
SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- 1-2 years of experience working in a film PR department over multiple projects through the film’s lifecycle is needed
- 1+ years of experience with executive diary management is preferable
- Excellent (fluent) working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience of using databases
- Working knowledge of all social platforms
- Must be well organised and disciplined with the ability to prioritise workload and use time effectively.
- Must be self-motivated and work with limited supervision
- Must be a confident communicator with people at all levels in a professional and mature manner
- Must be analytical and pay close attention to detail including spelling
- Must have a proficient and confident phone manner
