An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Princess Royal University Hospital Emergency Department Practice Development Team as a Band 7 Practice Development Nurse. We are expanding our Education team to facilitate the support of all staff from Health Care Assistants through to Senior Sister/Charge Nurse roles. If you have a genuine passion for supporting the development and education of staff within this fast paced speciality, combined with experience of delivering clinical education across a range of modalities, we’d love to hear from you! Candidates should have proven clinical Emergency Nursing knowledge and skills with experience of leading teams on clinical shifts.
We are looking for an inspirational nurse who enjoys team work and making a difference to the team and the patients.
- To maintain primary responsibility for ensuring the Care Group provides a progressive learning environment for all grades of nursing staff.
- To support and coordinate the development of Health Care Assistants and both pre- and post registration nursing students by co-ordinating educational activities and assessments of learning within the department.
- To support with statutory and mandatory training as required to ensure compliance within the Care Group and Trust wide (including, but not limited to, ALERT, ILS, ALS, PILS, EPLS, APLS, NALS)
- To actively promote and contribute to inter-professional learning activities across the Care Group and Trust wide.
- To provide effective role modelling and leadership by working clinically as per service needed and identified job plan clinical percentage
- To act as the education and training lead for the specialist area of practice
- To provide pastoral support, guidance and training to all stakeholders on all aspects or pre & post reg nursing / midwifery
