Key Responsibilities

• Produce and review pricing quotations for new business.

• Lead or contribute to projects, ensuring timely and effective progress.

• Gain strong technical understanding of internal systems and tools, and identify areas for efficiency improvements.

• Stay open to new ideas and technology, showing adaptability and resilience.

• Contribute to a collaborative team culture, support junior colleagues, and assist with coaching.

• Work with internal teams (e.g., reinsurance and commercial) to help deliver competitive propositions.
  
  

Skills & Knowledge

• Solid understanding of the DB pension risk transfer market and applicable regulations.

• Familiarity with actuarial pricing concepts, especially in bulk annuity transactions.

• Strong skills in numeracy, analytics, and problem solving.

• Comfortable with Excel and programming; willingness to learn new tech tools.

• Effective communicator with good teamwork and self-management abilities
  
  

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent).
  

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent)

Proven pricing experience, ideally in bulk annuities

Strong knowledge of the DB pensions market

Solid actuarial and analytical skills

Familiar with relevant regulations and actuarial concepts

Proficient in Excel; coding (e.g. Python, Julia, VBA) desirable

Strong team, communication, and project management skills
