Without best-in-class infrastructure, there would be no foundation upon which to build our global market making core business. For that reason, we are looking for a Data Center Engineer who can manage our London colocations. You will be responsible for project work, general maintenance and auditing at these sites. We are seeking someone who is committed to continuous improvement and thrives bringing new ideas to the table. This is a chance to take ownership of the physical parts of our trading infrastructure across multiple data centers and thousands of servers, all the while striving for simplicity and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do:
As a Primary Site Data Center Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our global data center environments. You will have the opportunity to combine your knowledge in IT Infrastructure in order to solve business issues and independently work on improvement opportunities. You will be working on projects of all sizes, either as a resource or leading engineer and delivering it from conception all the way to completion in this hands-on, high impact and high performance role. Specifically, your responsibilities include:
- Installing and cabling switches, servers and appliances in our data centers and co-locations;
- Coordinating server and network equipment installation with smart hands in remote locations;
- Managing power and space allocation, including capacity planning and monitoring;
- Maintaining clean and consistent cable management practices;
- Tracking and managing spare parts and cable inventory;
- Performing break-fix repairs, replacing components like hard drives, memory and transceivers;
- Planning and executing data center build-outs, relocations and new equipment installations;
- Packing, shipping, and managing the logistics of equipment for remote co-locations;
- Maintaining comprehensive data center documentation and support the standardization of procedures;
- Contributing to the build and maintenance of our core office IT infrastructure, including the trading floor;
- Troubleshooting and testing cabling (fiber and copper) using cable testers;
- Supporting system builds, configuration, and troubleshooting as needed.

Who You Are:
Technical Skills:
- Experience working in modern, large-scale data centers;
- Ability to identify basic parts of network equipment (SFPs, line cards, chassis) and servers (memory, network cards, hard drives);
- Knowledge of structured cabling systems (Cat 5, Cat 6, multi-mode, and single-mode fiber);
- Familiarity with power and communications cabling standards;
- Experience with cable testers to troubleshoot both fiber and copper cabling issues;
- An understanding of change control processes;
- Basic server operating system installation and configuration skills;
- Strong documentation skills and a meticulous approach to tracking details.
Non-Technical Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Creative problem-solving mindset, bringing new ideas to improve data center operations;
- Experience leading or coordinating resources in infrastructure projects, from conception to completion;
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments;
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, 30kg, Ability to lift heavy objects
- Willingness to work flexible hours outside of regular business hours, including regular weekend work, to execute physical infrastructure changes;
- Willingness to travel to support regional data center operations
