About Us: Tackling the climate crisis is one of our top priorities. We’re looking for a motivated and experienced climate and energy professional to join our team as Principal Climate and Net Zero Officer. You’ll be part of the skilled and passionate Climate Action & Sustainability Team, reporting to the Net Zero Manager, and playing a key role in climate initiatives in the council and across the borough.
About the role: Our work is orientated around Ealing’s Climate and Ecological Emergency Strategy, which aims to make Ealing carbon neutral by 2030. We’ve made progress, but there’s more to do. We’re seeking someone passionate about climate action and sustainability (this part is important), skilled or knowledgeable in most of: carbon and energy management, climate science, climate finance, project management, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll need to be organised, committed, and a creative team player able to hold others to account and who is a natural at fostering collaboration.
And? The successful candidate will be working in a directorate full of people dedicated to achieving great things, and in an organisation with an appetite for innovation and continuous improvement to ensure we deliver the best for our residents, businesses and visitors.
This role is subject to Ealing’s enhanced vetting process.
