Key Responsibilities:
• Lead data architecture, pipeline development, and optimization
• Mentor and guide a team of data engineers (perm + contractors)
• Drive hands-on delivery and high-quality code
• Own and align the technical roadmap with business needs
• Design and optimize cloud/on-prem data solutions (AWS experience essential)
• Champion best practices in coding, architecture, and automation
• Collaborate with customers and PMO to deliver cost-effective solutions
• Build and manage large-scale, high-integrity data sets
You Bring:
• Proven experience leading complex, large-scale data engineering projects
• Exceptional coding skills in at least two: Python, PySpark, Java, Scala, Spark
• Deep hands-on expertise in Data Engineering, Analytics, and AWS
• Strong skills in SQL, database design, and geospatial data (FME essential)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team mentoring abilities
• Background in Computer Science or related field, with data specialization
• Strong grasp of quality, security, and automation best practices
• Technical delivery leadership experience
Bonus:
• AWS or FME certifications
• Experience with ETL tools like Glue, ADF, Databricks
