We're looking for a Principal AWS Architect with a strong background in .NET development to join our high-performing team. Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Principal Software Architect, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions. This is a strategic, hands-on role reporting into the Director of Product and Technology, with the opportunity to lead critical projects that drive real business impact.
Architecture & Solution Design
- Lead the design and evolution of our AWS-based architecture for modern, API-first and data-centric applications
- Architect microservices and RESTful APIs with scalability, performance, and security at the core
- Define robust data pipelines using services like AWS S3, Lambda, Redshift, Glue, Athena, and OpenSearch
- Partner with DevOps on CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation), and cloud automation
- Ensure adherence to cloud governance, security, and compliance best practices in AWS
Strategic & Business Impact
- Work closely with product leadership and customers to deliver architecture that aligns with real-world needs
- Champion innovation by evaluating new tools and presenting cutting-edge solutions
- Maintain a roadmap of strategic technology initiatives, and own technical documentation and delivery plans
Leadership & Mentoring
- Provide technical leadership to engineering teams and mentor developers transitioning to cloud-native skills
- Support solution design and troubleshooting throughout the development lifecycle
- Manage and guide a Product Specialist on product packaging and delivery processes
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in solution architecture with a deep focus on AWS
- Strong foundation in .NET development (C#) and transition into cloud-native engineering
- Proven expertise with AWS services like EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, Redshift, S3, Glue, and Athena
- Solid grasp of serverless design patterns, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices
- Background in secure API development and identity protocols like OAuth, JWT, and OpenID Connect
- Experience in big data, streaming (Kinesis), and data lake architectures
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Bonus: AWS Solutions Architect certification, experience with CI/CD tools like Bamboo & Octopus Deploy
