Expleo have an exciting opportunity for experienced Principal Structural Engineers - Marine.
Based Hybrid, but with fortnightly visits to the office, you will be assigned to a major new defence project.
Both outside IR35 and Permanent roles are available
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the UK-based team in interpreting technical specifications and resolving engineering challenges
- Develop and implement engineering solutions
- Perform structural analysis of marine structures using FEM and manual calculations
- Review and approve analysis reports and FEM outputs
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports
- Build and manage FE models in ANSYS
Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant STEM discipline
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in checking and approving ANSYS models and FEM analyses
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Clear, logical thinking with the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts in an accessible manner
Experience
- Engineering experience, preferably in a marine environment
- They will have experience in PD5500 and similar codes

- Due to the restricted nature of the work, applicants must be UK nationals and hold (or be eligible to obtain) Security Check (SC) clearance.
