With the team growing, we are looking for a Principal Structural Engineer to lead the delivery of civil and structural designs on high-profile aviation projects, alongside work in other exciting sectors such as life sciences, industrial, custodial, and education. You will manage skilled, multidisciplinary teams and ensure the highest standards of technical delivery, innovation, and sustainability.


Your Responsibilities

  • Lead structural design delivery across large single projects or multiple smaller projects in single or multi-discipline teams
  • Manage day-to-day activities of structural project teams, ensuring compliance with quality and management systems
  • Mentor, train and develop junior engineers to maximise their potential
  • Implement Perfect Delivery principles and maintain client satisfaction
  • Prepare tenders and fee estimates, manage project resources, and report performance to the Associate Engineer
  • Carry out technical design reviews and act as a technical authority on structural design
  • Promote innovation and sustainable practices in every project


About You

  • Chartered Structural Engineer CEng MICE or MIStructE
  • Proven track record in delivering structural engineering projects to the highest standard
  • Experience as a discipline lead, including managing fees, resources, internal reporting and change control
  • Aviation project experience is preferred, ideally with work at Heathrow or Gatwick
  • Strong client-facing skills with experience working directly with contractors and stakeholders
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current structural design codes and standards, CDM regulations, and health and safety practices
  • CSCS card, full UK driving licence, and ability to obtain security clearance
