At Pick Everard the supply, management and disposal of water are at the core of what we do. We are proud to have a vast pipeline of work for clients including Severn Trent Water, Thames Water, Yorkshire Water and Government of Jersey.
Working as an integral part of the team, you will play a key part in delivering wastewater infrastructure projects, including flood alleviation, network pumping stations, CSO storage and upgrades.

Your Core Responsibilities Will Include
- Lead technical design from feasibility to construction across a range of project types and complexities.
- Manage and mentor a design sub-team, including planning and resource coordination.
- Support the design of pumping stations, water networks, surface water systems, and sustainable infrastructure.
- Mentor junior team members and support their development.
- Attend client meetings and contribute to winning new work.
- Assist with project and team management, offering innovative, sustainable, low-carbon solutions.
- Compliance with Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedures.

About You
Our ideal Principal Water Civil Engineer will have:
- A degree or equivalent in civil engineering, working towards a professional qualification.
- CEng with post chartered relevant experience or IEng with post incorporated relevant experience working in wastewater.
- Experience managing wastewater and/ or clean water infrastructure schemes.
- Good knowledge of industry design software packages.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player with a confident, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Very good report writing and presentation skills at project level.
- Experience in a variety of different forms of contract.
- Confident liaising with new and existing clients and an ability to build a good rapport with other parts of our inter-disciplinary practice, and with external design teams.
- Robust problem-solving skills, taking accountability for assigned work.
- Previous experience writing and presenting reports along with client interaction and work winning (desirable).
- The ability to lead a sub-team, focused on delivery of high-quality design output.
