Privacy & Data Protection Lead

A fast-growing global technology company with a strong presence across Europe, North America, and Asia is looking for an experienced Privacy & Data Protection Lead to support its international operations.

This hybrid role is based in central London.

Salary ranging from £85,000-£100,000

You’ll play a critical role in developing and leading the company’s global privacy programme—shaping policy, driving compliance, and embedding privacy into the core of the tech company.

The Role:

• Maintain and optimise Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and support ongoing data mapping initiatives
• Conduct and advise on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs)
• Draft, review, and negotiate data sharing and processing agreements
• Oversee privacy compliance across product, commercial, and operational teams
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align privacy practices with evolving business models
• Provide guidance on changes to data handling processes and regulatory shifts

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven background as a Data Protection Specialist, Privacy Counsel, or DPO
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in privacy/data protection roles, ideally in fast-paced environments
• Law degree or equivalent, with a recognised privacy qualification (e.g. CIPP/E)
• Strong working knowledge of key privacy frameworks (e.g. UK GDPR, EU GDPR, CCPA)
• Able to work independently on complex matters and balance multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with senior stakeholders
• Experience in broader compliance or regulatory roles is a plus
