Private Client Fee Earners - Part Time or Full Time
To be based in Huddersfield, South Elmsall or Barnsley
We have a fantastic opportunity for two Fee Earners to join our growing business, based in Huddersfield, South Elmsall or Barnsley.
Your Role:
The prime role of a fee earner is to undertake fee-earning work, encourage and promote the image and ethos of the firm and to adhere to agreed practice and procedure as determined. Experience running a case load independently and experience of Private Client Work is required for this role.
Your responsibilities will include:
- To assist with Client work as allocated by the Head of the Department in charge of the Private Client Team in accordance with the detailed procedures and quality standards contained in the firm's Office Manual.
- To ensure all Client work is progressed expeditiously and that the Client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.
- To exercise high standards of Client care at all times in a professional and pleasant manner.
- To ensure the confidentiality and security of all the firm's and Client documentation and information.
- To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording
- To comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules and the rules on Professional Conduct of Solicitors.
- To maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm.
- To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations.
- As requested, to support, develop and supervise immediate support staff.
- To take responsibility for and attend to training and self-development.
- In conjunction with the firm to comply with the relevant training requirements of the Law Society and to assist with in-house training as may be required.
- In liaison with the Partners to be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image.
- To undertake any reasonable task as requested
Person specification - key skills/qualifications required:
- Commitment to the ethos, values and strategy of the firm
- Computer and word processing skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience running a case lead independently
- Experience of Private Client work
