Location: Newcastle (Hybrid Working)

Firm: Legal 500 Ranked Law Firm

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Renowned for delivering exceptional client care and high-quality legal advice, the firm is experiencing ongoing growth and now seeks an accomplished Private Client Solicitor to join its well-established Newcastle team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and personable lawyer to take the next step in their career within a collaborative, forward-thinking practice.

The Role

Working as part of a supportive and experienced department, you will manage a diverse caseload of private client matters while maintaining the firm’s commitment to client-focused service. You will be supported by an excellent administrative and paralegal team, and benefit from a modern, flexible working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a varied caseload including:
Wills and succession planning
Probate and estate administration
Lasting Powers of Attorney
Court of Protection matters
Trust creation and administration
Providing clear, tailored advice to a broad range of clients, including HNW individuals.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm-wide risk management procedures.
Supervising junior team members (depending on experience).

About You

Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 2–6 years’ PQE (other levels considered).
Prior experience in a broad range of private client work.
STEP qualification or willingness to work towards it (advantageous).
Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
Ability to manage matters autonomously while contributing to a supportive team environment.
Well-organised, commercially aware, and able to prioritise a busy caseload.
