Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Procurement Category Manager to be responsible for designing and executing sourcing strategies for various categories with the primary focus being Vehicle Fleet. Procurement at Ricoh is currently undergoing a major transformation, and the postholder will play an active role it is success, therefore we have some flexibility on location for this role and can consider candidates across Europe.

What you will be doing
- Accountable for leading and executing sourcing projects including Strategy Development, RFI / RFP Process, Supplier Negotiation, Award Recommendations, Business Case Presentations, Risk Management and Contract Execution.
- Provide a deep understanding of the market forces, external factors, products, suppliers and the supply chain to develop a sourcing project wave plan which will deliver significant savings and other value.
- Responsible for continually reviewing current and future contractual performance internally up to senior level and externally with suppliers through data reporting and analysis to ensure competitive advantage is maximised and a robust strategy is executed.
- Partner with business stakeholders to design and implement Sourcing Strategies for Ricoh EMEA Vehicle Fleet category and other spend categories as required.
- Manage systems and processes that will enable the measurement & tracking of Ricoh Vehicle Fleet category cost and service levels against industry benchmarks.
- Perform Total Cost of Ownership evaluations, Supply-market Research and Pricing Audits and Impact Analysis for the pursuit of Continuous Cost Improvements.
- Identify and resolve Strategic Supplier Performance issues to ensure operational excellence and end customer satisfaction.
- Stay current with legislative requirements and ensure compliance within sourcing strategy.
- Contribute to the strategic goals of group procurement. These goals include but are not limited to; Delivery of sustainable savings - savings versus target, reduction in contract compliance risk, % of spend under contract and rationalisation of the supply base - % of active suppliers.
You will ideally have
- Ideal candidates will have extensive and proven experience of working in a similar role, specifically with Vehicle Fleet procurement and other spend categories. Plus, a proven track record of deploying Category Management techniques to drive desired outcomes in accordance with strategy.
- You will preferably have strong sourcing and negotiation skills with third party suppliers and service providers, plus experience of managing a substantial spend across multiple countries.
- Successful candidates will have a proven record of procurement compliance and building sustainable supplier relationships, alongside excellent commercial insights and experience of the Vehicle Fleet marketplace.
- Preferred candidates will have high-level ability and credibility to introduce and present Value Propositions at senior level and strong strategic thinking and ability to analyse current and future strategic requirements.
- Experience of stakeholder management – ability to lead and influence – is highly desired for this role.
- The successful postholder will ideally be able to juggle and prioritise a large number of immediate internal customer needs and medium to long term strategic initiatives simultaneously in a calm and methodical manor
- Ideal candidates will have the ability to deal with difficult topics across Ricoh EMEA and the Operating Companies and to resolve conflict and confrontation.
- To be successful in this role candidates will need to be comfortable interpreting large/complex datasets, utilising this to prepare and present actionable insights and execution strategies regularly to Senior Management.
