We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Consultant with a proven track record of delivering procurement excellence in complex environments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement or commercial roles and must already hold active Security Clearance (SC).
You will support a variety of procurement and commercial activities across major programmes within the public sector, defence, or secure government domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support end-to-end procurement processes in compliance with public sector regulations (e.g., PCR 2015).
- Develop procurement strategies, tender documentation, evaluation criteria, and contracts.
- Engage and manage stakeholders across commercial, technical, legal, and operational teams.
- Conduct supplier market analysis, risk assessments, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure value for money and compliance with organisational and legislative standards.
- Provide advice on sourcing strategies, procurement policies, and contract management.
- Support commercial assurance activities and governance processes.
Requirements:
- Active SC Clearance (Security Check) – essential
- Minimum 5 years of procurement/commercial experience, ideally within the public sector, defence, or secure government environments.
- Strong understanding of UK Public Procurement Regulations (e.g., PCR 2015, DSPCR).
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex tenders and contracts.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and e-procurement tools (e.g., Jaggaer, Bravo, Delta).
- Relevant qualifications such as MCIPS or equivalent – desirable.
