Description
Astroscale UK is seeking a Procurement Contracts Officer to join our busy Procurement and Supply Chain team.

Working across a number of our programmes, you will support procurement managers with requests for proposals or information, oversee supplier management and onboarding, and ensure that internal processes and export controls are followed.

Responsibilities 

The successful candidate will be expected to

  • Prepare, review, and maintain all supplier Non-Disclosure Agreements in line with templates to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
  • Support Procurement Managers in drafting Request for Proposal, Quotation, and Information packs, ensuring clarity and completeness.
  • Monitor and enforce supplier adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements, including export control regulations.
  • Assist Procurement Managers in negotiating supplier terms and conditions to achieve favourable outcomes while mitigating risk.
  • Prepare, issue, and manage contractual documents, ensuring timely follow-up and execution through to signature.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and archiving of all contractual agreements within the company’s systems.
  • Identify and escalate contractual risks, proposing mitigation strategies to protect the organisation.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Legal, Compliance, Procurement) to align contractual terms with organisational objectives.
  • Support ongoing supplier engagement to maintain compliance and resolve contractual issues promptly, as well as the onboarding of new suppliers.
  • Contribute to improving procurement and contracting processes for efficiency and compliance.

  • Essential Skills

    Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC), and able to access UK and US export controlled information and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

    • Prior experience of contract management for procurement, within a space, aerospace or defence environment.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of, and familiarity with, UK, US, and international trade compliance frameworks.
    • Experience using procurement and contract lifecycle management tools.
    • Ability to interpret and apply contractual and regulatory requirements effectively.
    • Excellent Communication Skills
    • Capable of drafting clear, concise contractual documents and engaging with suppliers professionally.
