Global Head of Capex & Utilities Procurement | FMCG | London / Hybrid
Salary - £95,000 + bonus
Office - London (hybrid, 3 days)
A leading global FMCG organisation is seeking a Global Head of Capex & Utilities Procurement to shape and drive sourcing strategies across Capital Expenditure and Utilities. This role will oversee a combined spend of approximately £100m - £150m and play a key part in delivering cost, sustainability, and innovation targets across the global manufacturing network.
The Role
Reporting into Global Procurement leadership, this role will focus on two critical areas:
Capex
- Partner with Engineering to map upcoming global investment needs over a 3-year horizon.
- Define strategic sub-categories and identify new suppliers to challenge incumbents.
- Develop forward-looking sourcing strategies aligned to business priorities.
- Lead global tenders and negotiate frame agreements with key equipment suppliers.
- Establish and manage long-term supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and innovation access.
- Finalise and manage contracts, including technical, service level, and KPI requirements.
- Build procurement guidelines for local project teams, including preferred supplier frameworks.
Utilities
- Create a 3–5 year sourcing strategy across electricity, gas, diesel, and water.
- Monitor regulatory trends, energy pricing, and sustainability incentives.
- Partner with Sustainability and Engineering to drive energy efficiency and CO₂ reduction.
- Develop and manage a global hedging strategy, working closely with the risk and finance teams.
- Execute utility contracts and support operations in budgeting and variance tracking.
About You
- Significant experience in Capex and/or Utilities procurement, ideally in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Strong commercial, strategic sourcing, and negotiation expertise
- Proven success managing global suppliers and leading cross-functional stakeholder engagement
- Familiarity with energy markets, commodity risk, and sustainability-related procurement
- Experience working in a matrixed, international structure
