Procurement Manager

We are currently partnering with a Housing Association in Greater Manchester, who are recruiting for a Standalone Procurement Manager to join their growing organisation on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position with a salary up to £47,000 (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice. Travel will be required to the office two/three days per week.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Overseeing all procurement activities and ensuring value for money and social value
• Developing and implementing new Contract Procedure Rules to comply with Procurement Act 2023
• Managing the Contract Register, liaising with Contract Managers and managing supplier relationships to a high standard
• Acting as a procurement subject matter expert and providing advice and support on all related matters across the wider business
• Leading on significant procurement exercises, understanding business needs and maintaining expert knowledge of public procurement laws and best practices

Experience required:

• Experience required in Social Housing/Public Sector Procurement is highly desirable

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Confident acting as a Subject Matter Expert on Procurement exercises
• Knowledge of Public Sector Procurement Requirements and the upcoming Procurement Act
