About Baringa
We set out to build the world’s most trusted consulting firm – creating lasting impact for clients and pioneering a positive, people-first way of working. We work with everyone from FTSE 100 names to bright new start-ups, in every sector.
You’ll find us collaborating shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients, from the big picture right down to the detail: helping them define their strategy, deliver complex change, spot the right commercial opportunities, manage risk, or bring their purpose and sustainability goals to life. Our clients love how we get to know what makes their organisations tick – slotting seamlessly into their teams and being proudly geeky about solving their challenges.
We have hubs in Europe, the US, Asia and Australia, and we work all around the world - from a wind farm in Wyoming to a boardroom in Berlin. Find us wherever there's a challenge to be tackled and an impact to be made.
Our procurement team are looking for an experienced manager to join them on a 12 month FTC.
We are looking for a commercially astute IT Procurement manager to provide maternity cover during a critical phase of business growth and infrastructure investment.
The primary focus of this role will be on our TeCy department (Technology & Cyber), a function central to our strategic transformation and operational resilience. However, in line with our centre-led procurement model, you’ll also be expected to support and influence broader corporate categories such as Marketing, Events, and other enabling functions as needed.
You will be joining a small and ambitious Procurement team that is driving best practice, commercial rigour, and business partnering across the organisation.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead sourcing and commercial strategy across the TeCy portfolio, including hardware, software, infrastructure, cloud, MSPs, and licensing.
- Drive best-in-class supplier performance and extract value through proactive contract and vendor management.
- Drive licence utilisation and provide in-depth understanding of Microsoft Azure, M365, and Dynamics to optimise spend.
- Support the IT budget planning process, ensuring commercial oversight and alignment to business priorities.
- Rationalise the supplier base and ensure maximum utilisation and return on investment from technology assets.
- Provide commercial support for other indirect categories including Marketing & HR, particularly where spend is high-value, cross-functional, or strategically significant.
- Support business units in adopting preferred suppliers, frameworks, and commercial standards.
- Identify and deliver savings opportunities while maintaining service quality and ensuring compliance.
- Promote triple bottom line value (financial, social, environmental) across procurement activities – notably supporting Ecovadis and ISO14001 accreditations.
- Identify, manage and mitigate commercial and operational risks in the supply base.
- Ensure procurement practices comply with internal policies and relevant regulations.
Your Skills And Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a procurement/category manager, ideally with a primary focus on Technology and a secondary focus on broader corporate spend (e.g. Marketing, Events, Corporate Services).
- Proven ability to deliver commercial outcomes across large, complex supplier portfolios.
- Strong working knowledge of IT infrastructure, SaaS, cloud platforms and licensing models (Azure, M365, Dynamics).
- Experience in using Licence Management Systems and understanding software asset management principles.
- Commercial acumen and stakeholder confidence to operate across multiple categories and functions.
- Collaborative mindset with strong influencing and communication skills.
- MCIPS desirable but not essential.

In addition to this, we have introduced our 5-Year Recharge benefit which allows all employees an additional 2 weeks of paid leave after 5 years continuous service.
