At Scrub, we specialise in automating the repetitive task of data cleansing or "scrubbing" in spreadsheets. We use the latest breakthroughs in AI and Machine Learning and apply them to spreadsheets to achieve superhuman accuracy. We are initially focused on the insurance industry but the technology we are building is suitable for many use cases.

We completed our Seed Round of funding in April 2023. We have strong customer traction already and a growing reputation within the insurance industry already and we are now building out our fantastic team further to enable us to scale 🚀

The Role

As a Product and Technical Business Development Manager at Scrub, your role is to become an expert in our products, their features and how they are built. You’ll be part of the client-facing team, running demos and trials and answering client’s technical questions. You will also be key in clearly communicating client feedback to the technical teams to ensure client needs and deadlines are met. In turn you’ll be part of shaping Scrub’s product roadmap; designing and testing new features and products; and delivering these to clients. 

Responsibilities

• Working with leads throughout the sales pipeline, attending meetings, leading demos and trials.
• Understanding specific client requirements, clearly communicating this to the technical team and then working closely with the technical team to ensure client’s needs are met.
• Plan deliverable deadlines which are realistic and then ensure these are met. 
• Help to brainstorm, design and test new features and products.
• Working with existing clients to ensure their needs are met and explaining new products. 
• Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry members and partners.  

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of the insurance industry. 
• Good network within the insurance industry.
• Passionate about bringing technology to the industry.
• Experience with data wrangling and data management on a day-to-day basis.
• Evidence of organisational and project management skills.
• Excited about being part of a small, quickly growing startup. You're good at working in an agile way including pivoting ideas where necessary.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
