About Marshmallow
We build financial products that accelerate the economic freedom for people who move across borders. We started with car insurance — insuring over a million drivers — and we’re scaling beyond. Tens of millions of people move countries each year, facing overlooked financial challenges. Our future is in building financial products around their needs to positively impact their lives.
How We Work
We’re really proud of the culture we’ve created. We push for progress every day, because we know that we’ll only hit big milestones by taking lots of smaller steps. We’re always open to helping our team mates, sharing our ideas, experience and knowledge to solve problems together. We take risks, think creatively and experiment relentlessly to meet our customer’s needs, and never pass blame when things go wrong. We encourage people at all levels to take ownership of their work, and to be bold in challenging how we do things. Everyone has a voice and the opportunity to make an impact.
And autonomy and ownership are only possible with clear direction. That’s why we collaborate to do in-depth planning twice a year, and make sure we leave with clear goals and objectives that flow from top to bottom. To make sure we’re as aligned as possible across functions, most of our work rolls up into three tribes; Acquisition, Retention & Claims. Each tribe has multiple teams embedded in it, working cross-functionally to do great work.
We’re so excited for all of the challenges up ahead, and we need more people to help us tackle them! If life at Marshmallow sounds like it could be for you, explore our Culture Handbook to find out more.
Marshmallow are hiring multiple product managers to join our London office, sitting in our Growth and Retention teams.
Product Manager - The Retention Tribe
We’re looking for a Product Manager to join the Retention tribe at Marshmallow — a team focused on delivering exceptional experiences for our active customers while driving long-term revenue and profitability.
You’ll take ownership of one of two key areas: Renewals or In-Policy Experience, both of which have a direct impact on post-acquisition net revenue and customer lifetime value. Working at the intersection of pricing, operations, engineering, and design, you’ll build a deep understanding of our customers’ needs, shape a strategy to reduce churn, and deliver solutions that enhance retention, satisfaction, and revenue.
This is a great opportunity for a customer-obsessed PM who’s comfortable with complexity, eager to lead cross-functional work, and excited to influence core financial outcomes in a growing, high-impact part of the business.
Product Manager, Growth - The Acquisition Tribe
We're looking for a Product Manager to join the Growth team within the Acquisition tribe at Marshmallow — someone excited to unlock the next wave of customer and revenue growth.
You’ll take full ownership of a high-impact area, either within our core Car Insurance product or one of our newer growth initiatives.
You’ll work in a collaborative, cross-functional squad, where you’ll have the autonomy to shape strategy, define problems, and lead the end-to-end delivery of experiments that drive measurable outcomes. We’re after someone who’s shipped customer-facing products before and is now eager to step into a more strategic, outcomes-focused role — with the support and mentorship to grow into a senior PM over time.
Who You Are
- An experienced product manager - you have at least 1-2 years of direct product management experience, with a track record of high impact. We also enthusiastically consider exceptional candidates who may have little to no formal product management experience but possess strong, relevant expertise in adjacent fields such as product analytics, data science, or experience from top-tier consulting or finance firms.
- In the detail - You are detail oriented and know all the KPIs in your current product like the back of your hand. You use that depth of knowledge to inform your strategy.
- Quantitatively minded - You have a natural talent for numbers. Models and spreadsheets excite you rather than scare you. You’re very comfortable working with SQL or BI tools like Looker, Tableau, etc.. You probably did a quantitative degree or have a background in computer science or data in some way.
- Customer obsessed - You are passionate about designing and building delightful user experiences that get the job done. You are experienced in identifying behavioural insights from qualitative research. You have the ability to balance business and customer needs.
- Outcome oriented - You ruthlessly prioritise against objectives, articulate the desired outcome and work collaboratively to create a path to achieve it
- Entrepreneurial - You are self-motivated and proactive. You have a high tolerance for ambiguity, ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines and willingness to take risks
- A true collaborator - While we know you will have excellent ideas to put forward, we value a collaborative approach to reach our goals and as such you should be willing and driven to get your team's input, tailoring your communication to technical and / or non-technical audiences. You are an excellent written communicator.

Our process
We Break It Up Into 4 Stages
- Initial call with a Talent Acquisition Manager (30 mins)
- An experience and behaviour interview where you will go into more detail about your recent work in more detail along with a metrics estimation challenge (1 hour)
- A skill-based interview where you will be given a ‘product challenge’ in the interview and work with the interviewers to define a solution (2 hours)
- A culture interview with a senior member of the team to check that your work style fits our processes and values (1 hour)
We’ll let you know if you’re invited to an interview or not. But, as a small team with a lot of applications to consider, we can’t give personal feedback on each application.
