Product Manager - Open Banking (Six-Month contract)

We are seeking to hire a strategic and delivery-focused Open Banking Product Manager for a 6-month contract to lead the launch and commercial rollout of Open Banking solutions for our leading client in the payments industry; The successful candidate will be an experienced Product Manager with product launch experience (0-1), to include defining, setting, and executing product or business line strategy across Open Banking.

This role is ideal for a senior product leader with deep industry knowledge who can translate market needs into real-world products, driving them through to successful go-to-market execution.

You’ll be responsible for shaping propositions, launching products that solve real customer problems, and ensuring market impact through close alignment with commercial, operations, and partner teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and lead the product launch strategy for Open Banking propositions, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and customer value.
• Own the go-to-market plan, coordinating with sales, marketing, and operations to ensure readiness and successful delivery.
• Translate market insights and regulatory shifts into compelling use cases, product messaging, and partner-facing collateral.
• Develop clear positioning and differentiated propositions that support uptake by fin-techs, platforms, and financial institutions.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure delivery is on time and fit for purpose, from initial discovery through commercial rollout.
• Define and track key performance metrics to evaluate product impact and inform enhancements.
• Act as an internal champion for Open Banking, building internal understanding and influencing direction with senior stakeholders

What You Bring:

• Circa 8 years of experience in Product Management, or equivalent, ideally within financial services, banking, or fintech.
• Proven track record of delivering Open Banking solutions and APIs in regulated environments.
• Deep understanding of the Open Banking ecosystem, with the ability to simplify complexity into compelling value propositions.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to product and stakeholder management.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience aligning product initiatives with revenue or cost-saving opportunities.
• Comfortable working autonomously and remotely, with strong communication and project execution skills.
