As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Product Safety Advisor to join our Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) team at Cowick.
You will be responsible for providing regulatory services to the business sectors and manufacturing sites to enable compliance and marketability, considering new and existing Croda products. You will make a proactive contribution to defining how regulatory information is gathered, stored and communicated.

- Educated to degree level within a scientific discipline (or with relevant experience)
- An understanding of what Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs is, and a desire to start or further your career in the field to show the value this function can bring to an organisation
- You will be an intellectually curious individual who brings a new way of thinking and approaching problem solving to ensure efficient and effective communication of regulatory topics and issues
- You will be a strong team player capable of building effective working relationships across functions within the company
- You will possess excellent written and spoken communication skills and be well organised
- You must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail
- Working knowledge of the European Chemical Regulations (EU REACH and CLP) or end product regulations (e.g. European Cosmetic Product regulation, Detergents regulation) is desirable but not essential
- Experience of working within toxicology or environmental science or a regulatory field (chemicals or other) is desirable but not essential
- Experience of working within a manufacturing industry is desirable but not essential
- Experience using SAP/SAP EHS, Microsoft packages or other online internal or external systems is desirable but not essential
What You’ll Be Doing

- Key participant in deployment of systems being introduced to provide platforms to transform our organisational approach to data
- Managing product data to ensure validity and consistency, with a focus on regulatory impact
- Collating and creating appropriate responses to our customer needs for regulatory information in relation to their use in beauty care products, considering appropriateness and relevance of response to elevate Croda products in the marketplace and enable customer use
- Developing your own regulatory knowledge and skillsets to become a key member of the PSRA team, ensuring Croda’s continued compliance within the market, along with aligning with customers’ needs and the evolving world of regulations and customer certifications.
