About the role:
As Product Specialist for Wheeled Excavators, you’ll take ownership of a globally significant product line, helping to shape the future of JCB’s wheeled excavator offering. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure the range is competitive, clearly positioned in the market, and aligned to customer needs. This is a strategic, hands-on role that will see you collaborating across Engineering, Commercial, and Regional Sales teams to grow our global market share and strengthen the “Why Buy JCB” proposition for the X-Series platform.
What does this role involve day to day?
- Leading the global product strategy for wheeled excavators, developing detailed product plans and specifications
- Translating customer feedback and market insight into product improvements, sales tools, and technical documentation
- Managing the product roadmap, including machine options, attachments, and digital features such as LiveLink
- Supporting new product introductions, pricing decisions, and product mix strategies to improve profitability
- Driving the Yellow Series strategy to streamline configuration and reduce product complexity
- Working with Marketing and Sales to develop targeted campaigns, training materials, and launch plans
- Supporting global sales teams with customer visits, product launches, and technical enquiries
- Benchmarking competitor products and offerings to maintain a clear market advantage
This will be suited to you if…
- You have a solid understanding of construction equipment, ideally excavators and are passionate about product innovation
- You’ve worked in a product, technical, or commercial role with exposure to dealers, customers, or international sales teams
- You’re confident communicating technical details in a clear, customer-focused way
- You enjoy working across departments and building strong relationships with Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Operations
- You bring analytical thinking and commercial awareness, using insight to influence product decisions
- You’re flexible and willing to travel to support customers, events, and regional teams around the world
