Your Contribution To Prysmian's Success
We are looking for a Product Support Engineer to join our plant in Bishopstoke, Southampton. You will be responsible for providing a technical link between the Telecom Sales team and Connectivity R&D. Travel will be required (10-20%) for trade shows, events and visiting customers around. You will be responsible for:
- Technical support for tenders
- Day to day support to the internal sales team on product selection
- Practical product demonstrations and presentations to customers
- Develop and maintain and enquiry tracking system
- Evaluate product prototypes and submit technical reports.
- Support customer type test visits.
- Manage customer field trials and provide technical helpline support.
- Deliver training and education to customers as required, possibly outside of the UK
- Calculate cost estimates for product variants
- Maintaining product datasheets
- Identify product portfolio gaps
You Are The Right Fit If You Have/are
- Ideally educated to HNC/Degree level within an engineering discipline
- Possess great communication skills at all levels within the Company, customers and trade shows.
- Ability to build sound working relationships.
- Preferably hold experience within the Optical Networks industry and hold experience in Connectivity product installation such as Closures, exchange equipment, MDU and SDU products and an understanding of optical network architectures. However, this is not essential and all training will be given.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Hold strong organizational skills to be able to prioritize workload effectively and be flexible to meet demanding deadlines.
