The Production Assistant is a hands‑on, multi‑disciplinary role at the heart of The Lost Estate’s live immersive productions. You’ll provide day‑to‑day support across production management, onsite operations, and venue oversight - ensuring our shows run smoothly and our spaces are maintained, safe, and revenue‑generating.
Key Responsibilities
Production & On‑Site Management
- Support the Production Manager during rehearsals and show runs, maintaining a strong daily onsite presence across both our sites
- Oversee practical task management, set maintenance, and team coordination throughout production phases.
- Maintain and update show bibles and playbooks to ensure accurate documentation.
Recruitment, Contracts & Finance
- Assist with outreach to new creatives and production partners.
- Draft and process contracts, agreements, and invoices for approval.
Health & Safety / Site Oversight
- Implement and uphold H&S policies on site, contributing to ongoing policy development.
- Own Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) processes, supporting GMs in site management.
Equipment & Asset Management
- Manage, store, and catalogue TLE‑owned props, costumes, and equipment.
- Drive resale and repurposing of unused assets to recoup production costs.
Venue Hire & Secondary Revenue
- Promote and manage hire of TLE spaces for rehearsals, shoots, and third‑party events.
- Support and produce TLE secondary events, members’ events, and special experiences at Alban’s Bar and 58th Street.
Venue Scouting & Development
- Assist in researching, assessing, and shortlisting potential new venues.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years in theatrical events, live entertainment, or a similar production environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident in interpreting and communicating technical production information.
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience working across departments.
- Financial and budget management experience.
- Proven track record in H&S management within a performance or venue setting.
- Experience with fit‑outs and working knowledge of Building Control.
- Calm under pressure with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Flexible and adaptable, open to new processes and creative solutions.
Desirable Skills
- IOSH / NEBOSH or similar H&S qualification.
- First Aid and/or Fire Marshal certification.
- Experience managing general venue maintenance.
- Background in non‑traditional or immersive theatre settings
