Production Operator
BioMonde are looking for a full time Production Operator on a permanent contract basis.
The Production Department is responsible for:
- The manufacturing of medical grade product in a cleanroom facility using aseptic techniques as per Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards and in accordance with BioMonde Quality Management System (QMS)
- The husbandry of the fly colony
- Packaging and dispatching of products and any ancillary items
- Warehouse – receiving of deliveries, stock check and initiating orders
You will be part of the team responsible for the provision of efficient and effective production processes at the UK facility. This encompasses, but is not limited to, cleanroom activities including product manufacturing, warehouse activities and dispatching of the products.
Production Operator duties will include the following:
- Ensure compliance with GMP and BioMonde’s QMS
- Ability to follow, understand and perform tasks as per QMS (SOP’s, MP’s, Forms, etc)
- Completion of associated documentation, some of which forms part of formal batch review and product release.
- Carrying out daily routine activities which includes but is not limited to the cleaning of the cleanrooms to cGMP standard in a timely and effective manner
Supporting production related activities as required and directed by Production Management. Includes but is not limited to:
- Warehouse Activities – booking in stock, storage of materials, stock control, stock counting, completion of associated documentation
- Timely completion of internal training and various validation activities as specified by Operations Management (Quality and Production)
- Help maintain a clean and safe working environment
Personal attributes:
- Good interpersonal skills; the ability to work within and support a small team and communicate professionally with external parties
- Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks carefully and efficiently
- Ability to identify problems and work with colleagues to propose appropriate solutions
- Ability to understand instructions verbally and written, follow direction and organise priorities accordingly
- Ability to work with insects and the associated ‘yuck factor’
- Ability to handle stressful situations which can occur when caused by production issues and demands
- Self-motivated – completing tasks according to an agreed schedule
Desirable Criteria:
- Aseptic manufacturing and/or working in a cleanroom facility (desirable, but not essential as training will be provided)
- Working knowledge of GMP and Quality Management System processes
- Good standard of secondary education, minimum 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above
- Good working knowledge of MS Office package, including Excel

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7:30 to 17:00, plus regular weekend working on a rota basis.
