Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.
As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.
As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Production Planner to join the team to work with the relevant departments to create and maintain production plans in line with customer requirements from the MRP plan and in line with material availability and customer requirements.
We are looking for candidates who have detailed knowledge of ERP and MRP, BOM and work order management, as well as a passion for continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting programme reviews to ensure that we are planning in line with the top level programme schedules and customer milestones
- Creating and developing Production Schedules following MRP plans, ensuring material availability and capacity.
- Working proactively to highlight, as necessary, risks to the production plans and working with the relevant departments to mitigate the risk
- Supporting the ERP roll out and working closely with the Manufacturing Engineering team to setup MRP
- Ensuring that the work centres are setup appropriately and that we are planning based on capacity and levelling to remove constraints
- Working with the Manufacturing Engineering and Config team on BOM setup and maintenance / improvements
- Work with internal stakeholders to seek ways to reduce internal leadtimes as well as customer leadtimes.
- Identifying and managing safety stock levels and supporting the management of lineside inventory.
Skills and experience required:
- Previous proven experience working within a similar role
- Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Sound understanding of Lean Working Methodologies
- Instinctive problem-solving skills coupled with a sound analytical approach
- Ability to work well with others to achieve company goals
- Strong Planning and organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task a varied workload to achieve results
- A 'self-starter' attitude with energy and enthusiasm, with the ability to thrive in a small business environment
- Ability to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A flexible approach to work
- UK driving license and ability to travel.
