Position:
We are looking for a Production Supervisor to be responsible for overseeing our High Care Raw and Machine Room . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, as well as hands-on experience.
This role is Sunday to Tuesday/Wednesday from 06:00am to 17:00pm
Key Responsibilities are;
- Manage the workload in the department.
- Manage the team of Operatives and Team Leaders in a professional manner.
- Ensure that the department is kept clean and well organised at all times.
- Effectively and professionally, communicate with stakeholders and other teams.
- Develop the skills and knowledge of the team ensuring that team members are signed off on required machinery.
- Ensure that information is captured in an accurate and timely fashion to complete the businesses quality systems.
- Communicate effectively with the senior team to ensure that products are delivered according to the customers’ requirements.
- Ensure that Health and Safety regulations are followed throughout the department
- People management including investigations, return to works, absence management and inductions.
- Work with management to ensure that KPI’s are met regarding labour usage, vision completion and agency usage
- Encourage a LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement culture
- Reviewing all of the processes within your area to increase efficiency, productivity and quality while striving to lower cost.
- Create a team culture so that operational excellence is achieved at all time.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2-3yrs Supervisory experience within FMCG
- Evidence of building and developing a team
- Experience in LEAN Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written
- Experience in continuously achieving KPI’s
- Certificates in HAACP, IOSH and Food Safety are desirable
