The Productivity Specialist, Labour Planning will simplify and speed up our business by analysing large and complex data sets and provide insights to ensure the business is maximising efficiency.
They will also provide recommendations to the Productivity team on project work and to ensure all initiatives are aligned with Finance expectations and the labour model(s).
This is a hybrid role operating over a 5 day working week.
Based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions.
Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.
Responsibilities:
Customer (internal and external)
- Analyse a wide range of complex data and provide reporting that is easily accessible and simply presented
- Work with business areas to identify opportunities and provide “what if” scenarios on process change
- Create and provide weekly reporting and insight for senior leadership and the exec on labour & volume movement
Colleague
- Engage and build strong relationships with central & store teams
- Provide ad hoc technical and analytical support and provide visibility of where labour is required across stores
Operational
- Work with store and regional teams to maintain the latest information on characteristics and keep labour models up to date
- Build forecasts for Quarterly and Half Yearly shape of hours by store and department to share with stores, regional teams and senior leadership
Sales, Profit and Cash
- Contribute and influence the annual financial action planning process
- Recommend productivity initiatives based on areas of high cost
- Actively plan labour in the way of budget, which informs stores how to deliver their budget, payroll and productivity savings
About You

- Data model analysis trained and substantial experience working with SQL and GCP
- Has skills in Python and BI (desirable)
- Excel / database trained to high level (advanced)
- Good understanding of the Store Operating Models
- Expert in technical / analytical techniques and problem solving
- Strong background in effective communication of complex data and models
- Ability to influence stakeholders across different areas of the business
- A strong track record of delivering excellent results through an engaged team
- Good understanding of financial and payroll process
- Experience of wider support functions desirable e.g. Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing)
- Awareness of process improvement and Lean techniques desirable (Green Belt or equivalent)
