We are looking for a Senior Facilities Manager to lead a safe, and compliant workplace, with clear ownership of facilities and health and safety. You will have the scope to improve service quality, strengthen compliance and make a visible difference day-to-day operations.

Salary details: £63,516 - £70,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus benefits

Location: Canary Wharf, London

Hours: 35 hours per week, from 9.00 to 5.00, Monday to Friday


The role

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Professional Regulations Manager at the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).


As a Professional Regulations Manager, you will lead our triage and resolutions team who make the initial assessment decisions on concerns that we receive about our registrant’s fitness to practise. We have introduced a matrix approach to leadership and so you will have shared accountability for the leadership across our enforcement portfolio, providing great opportunities for personal growth and development.


You will provide effective leadership through others, ensuring proportionate, timely and high-quality assessments are undertaken into concerns about pharmacy professionals.


You will directly manage two casework managers (triage and resolutions) and up to 10 triage officers.


This role is subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of our pre-employment due diligence.


The successful applicant will:


  • Effectively lead and manage our triage function, ensuring the team and individuals meet quality and timeliness objectives through effective oversight, coaching and development.
  • Have excellent communication and people management skills to lead teams through our ambitious change agenda. Be self-driven, progress orientated and passionate about our work with the ability to work collaboratively across the wider Enforcement function.
  • Be a confident decision maker and responsible for high quality decisions in accordance with our processes and statutory objective of keeping patients safe.
  • Be an advocate for effective change and continuous improvement and drive improvements in service delivery.
  • Represent or deputise for the Head of Professionals Regulation (casework and resolution) and Chief Enforcement Officer.
