The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to manage and promote our archives collections and contribute to preserving and showcasing the Law Society's rich heritage.
As an experienced archivist you will play a key role in developing our archives service, undertaking research, sourcing materials and creating engaging content for exhibitions, tours, and digital platforms. In this important role, you will help put in place the standards for a well-managed collection long term and contribute to a variety of initiatives to widen engagement with our members and the public.
The post is 0.6 FTE and fixed term for twelve months with the possibility of extension.

What we're looking for
You will be a qualified archivist with experience of independent research and content creation. You will be committed to engaging audiences and widening access to historic material, with excellent interpersonal skills for confidently working with others.
As our archives specialist, your ability to prioritise tasks, work independently and take initiative is essential.
