Project controls Specialist

Are you a Project Controls professional who thrives on complexity, scale, and impact?

We’re looking for a Project Controls Manager to play a key role in the delivery of Sizewell C, one of the UK’s most significant and complex infrastructure programmes. This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a major nuclear project, shaping how cost, schedule, risk, change, and performance come together to drive confident decision-making.

What you’ll be doing:

Lead and integrate Project Controls activities across cost, schedule, risk, change, and reporting
Act as a key interface between PMO, delivery teams, and the supply chain
Assure contractor and partner data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and transparency
Produce high-quality month-end performance reports and support performance reviews
Provide forward-looking insights through forecasting, variance analysis, and trend reporting
Present clear, concise narratives that support senior leadership decisions

Champion “Digital by Default” ways of working and continuous improvement

Represent SZC as a Project Controls exemplar with internal and external stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

Strong experience delivering Project Controls on large, complex infrastructure projects
Proven capability across cost, estimating, scheduling, change, and risk
Solid understanding of Earned Value Management
Experience working in matrix environments with senior stakeholders
Confident communicator with a delivery-focused mindset

Desirable:

APM, PMI, AACE or similar professional accreditation
Experience with Power BI or reporting/analytics tools
Knowledge of NEC / FIDIC contracts
Previous experience in the nuclear sector
