Project Engineer

Job Title: Project Engineer – Switchgear & Power Distribution

Location: UK

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Our client is a well-established business with over 40 years of expertise in bespoke switchgear and power distribution solutions. They are trusted nationwide for delivering high-quality engineering projects and are now seeking an experienced Project Engineer to take full ownership of complex projects from conception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage projects from order intake through to final invoice
• Design bespoke assemblies and prepare electrical schematics
• Specify, source, and order materials with accuracy
• Oversee manufacturing, ensuring snag-free delivery
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage change requests, witness FAT/SAT testing, and oversee installations

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven project management skills with strong attention to detail
• Electrical engineering background, ideally in power distribution
• Proficient in Inventor, AutoCAD, and technical drawings
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline)
