Brief Description
There is an exciting opportunity to join us in a role that is vital to our success!
This role will support the Project Manager and be responsible for leading on the design, development, delivery and governance of various planning improvement strategies within the Safe & Effective Working Programme. You will be leading on critical elements that form the creation and upkeep of a stable, core compliance access plan; this includes work bank re-alignment strategies and standardised Track Access solutions. You will require a proficiency in project leadership, planning, succinct and effective communication at all levels and will require a strong understanding of planning processes and techniques. The role will require a regular travel across multiple Delivery Units for the purpose of communicating, organising, and delivering a critical series of planning improvement initiatives within the Maintenance planning environment. The successful candidate will need to operate with a high degree of autonomy and be capable of working at all levels of the Delivery Unit hierarchy, with large and complex data sets and be highly proficient in handling information across multiple NR systems.
About The Role (External)
Role and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Agree remit and success criteria of change projects with the relevant Executive Sponsors and Functional Directors.
- Manage the development and delivery of change projects in compliance with company processes and procedures.
- Manage the production of project management plans for change projects.
- Establish and manage collaborative cross-functional virtual teams to deliver change projects, where appropriate.
- Deliver regular progress reports on change projects, including relevant risks and issues, to Executive Sponsors and Functional Directors.
- Manage project budgets within agreed targets.
- Promote and monitor the use of efficiency improvement methods.
- Disseminate lessons learnt.
Are you?
- Experience of working in change projects
- Understanding of applying project methodologies
Do you have?
- Educated to degree level.
- Member of project association
- Commercial and financial awareness.
- Knowledge of the principles of investment processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of/experience in the UK rail industry.

- Salary of £35,582-£40,830 (Band 4B) depending on skills, qualifications, and experience
