Job Description
Here at ASOS we are undergoing a large-scale digital transformation to enable us to move to a marketplace model with our sales partners, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Flexible Sales Channel Domain team to support delivery a number of strategic initiatives!
We primarily work to an Agile methodology, delivering software enhancements iteratively and to a regular cadence. You will however work with a number of 3rd party partners who may work with traditional waterfall methods, so having some understanding of these and how we delivery programmes of work combining both methods is important.
You will communicate in a way that is delivery-/deadline-focussed, with an ability to reflect the delivery in a traditional plan. You will work closely with stakeholders from our many platform teams, acting as an interface between business and tech units.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the plan for the initiative
- Coordinate scope and design with EA/Programme SAs and Platform SAs
- Detailed coordination and tracking of software deliverables
- Working with teams to resolve blockers, escalating as needed and keeping to agreed timelines
- Coordinate the design of Acceptance Test Scenarios
- Monitor the acceptance test execution – coordinate the reporting with QA team, assist with blockers and prioritising resolutions with platform teams
- Coordinate the drafting and execution of the go live plan
- Communicate project status, ensuring that lines of escalation are used effectively
- Manage project change control procedures and update project baseline as required
- Supporting our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies
Qualifications
Who We’d Like to Meet
- Solid grasp of the project managers tool kit and best practice usage: Plan Management, RAID Management, Change Management
- Experience in an Agile environment
- A deadline-driven and action-oriented approach to delivery
- Comfortable managing with ambiguity and assumptions based planning
- Ability to manage through influence
- Ability to challenge estimates & timelines where necessary
- Comfortable adapting to changing business priorities
- Happy to work in a matrix environment
- Technically aware and able to manage technical issue resolution (rather than solve)
