Project Manager

Location: Filton (60% onsite)

Contract Duration: Until 31/12/2026 (likely to be extended)

Pay Rate: £40.00 per hour (Umbrella) / £29.89 per hour (PAYE)

Hours: 35 hours per week (4.5 days, flexible between 7am – 7pm)

IR35: Off-payroll working rules apply

Security Clearance: BPSS+ required

About the Role

Our Client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Client’s Programme, supporting a diverse and ageing in-service aircraft fleet. This role offers a challenging environment with strategic importance for future operations.

You will be accountable for delivering UK work packages on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. The position requires strong integration across multiple functions, including Engineering, Procurement, Airworthiness, and Customer Services, as well as managing suppliers, partners, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
Deliver to agreed time, cost, and quality targets.
Oversee integrated planning for the Serial Design Office.
Manage two risk-sharing partners and subcontractors (contracts, tenders, deliverables).
Perform project cost management to meet yearly AOP objectives.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and progress reports.
Facilitate and coordinate meetings across transnational teams.
Ensure effective communication and issue resolution/escalation.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in project/programme management within engineering environments.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to influence and lead multi-functional teams.
Experience with SAP and project management tools (Zoho or similar).
Knowledge of configuration management processes.
Experience in Fuel Systems and Wing Structure preferred.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
Understanding of budget control and supplier management.
