Description
- Job Title – Project Manager
- Location – Eastwood Park GL12 8DB
- Contract Length – cover for a week (holidays) – 22nd August to 29th August
- Pay Rate – £300-£350 CIS per day.
- Requirements – Experience working in prisons (preferred), groundworks/Civils background, Enhanced DBS (preferred), SMSTS, First Aid, TWC (preferred), EL1 clearance
- SMSTS → Site Management Safety Training Scheme
- A health & safety training course for site managers and project managers.
- Delivered by the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board).
- Aimed at project managers, site managers and senior supervisors.
- Normally lasts 5 days, covering legislation, risk management, legal responsibilities, etc.
- It’s almost essential for anyone managing a construction site in the UK.
- TWC → Temporary Works Coordinator
- A widely required certificate in the UK.
- Part of the regulations on temporary works (scaffolding, formwork, shoring, propping, etc.).
- The Temporary Works Coordinator course trains the person responsible for planning, supervising and approving all temporary works in a construction project.
- It’s a key role to comply with BS 5975 (the main standard for temporary works in the UK).
