Eclipse Power Optimise Ltd is a developer of licence exempt Private Networks and Microgrid solutions working within the UK energy industry. We design, own, operate and maintain extra high, high, and low voltage electricity distribution network assets, providing power connections to residential, industrial, renewable, and commercial customers across the UK.

We are continuing to strengthen our talent, leadership, training, and recognition for people as they are the core of what we do and how we operate. We have an inclusive culture where people are rewarded and recognised for their inputs, innovation, and customer-centric solutions. We also have fun at work and want people to enjoy what they do and what they are helping to create. To continue to do this we need strong diverse thinking and having people from a range of backgrounds, careers, and expertise help us do this.
Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to oversee the efficient delivery of major projects (defined as Extra High Voltage which is up to 132kV) through our pipeline process, from concept through to adoption. This will be done through maintaining visibility of the project programmes, managing, and liaising with the Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) and Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contractors (ECPs) constructing the Extra High Voltage distribution networks to connect customers to our network.
The role requires effective communication skills to work with ICPs, ECPs, Customers, Developers, Suppliers and Network Operators (DNO/TO) (“Clients”) to enable successful completion and handover to the asset management team. The role will proactively liaise with clients to meet the Company’s goal of achieving the customer’s energisation date.
To enable effective delivery of this role, understanding and effective utilisation of our internal Investment Process (“Stage & Gate”) and project management tool, Monday.com are key. This team is pivotal in supporting the whole organisation to understand where major projects are in the process and keeping clients updated on the next steps required. This role will also be responsible for liaising internally to ensure the Stage Gates are met and responsible parties (e.g. Designers, Auditors, Finance, Legal, Operations) have completed their review processes across each EHV project.
You will collectively be responsible for undertaking a range of Project, Contract and Programme Management processes and activities to enable successful completion and handover of the project to the Asset Management Team.
Main responsibilities will include:
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
Ideally, you will have good knowledge and experience of the utilities industry, and be skilled in delivering successful projects/programmes, pro-actively natured, customer focused, and passionate about the role and business.
Essential:
We welcome applications from individuals who meet most, but not necessarily all, of the listed requirements. If you’re interested in the role and believe you have the right transferable skills, we’d love to hear from you.
Desirable
We are looking for people who embody our personalities:
Friendly experts: When it comes to technical knowledge and experience, customers couldn’t be in better hands. We’re friendly, approachable, and always eager to help.
Collaborative solution finders: We work closely with customers to find a solution that meets their needs in a way that’s compliant with standards.
Confidently flexible: We know the rules for every DNO (Distribution Network Operator). And we also know just how flexible we can be to interpret them in ways that save both time and money. Naturally curious: In our book, there’s always a better way. We’re always curious to explore every avenue before we arrive at a clear solution.
Relentlessly innovative: Looking for new ways to deal with challenges is part of our DNA. If a conventional route is the best option, we’re not afraid to say it. But if there’s a way to do something more quickly, more efficiently or more cost-effectively, we’ll find it.
We strongly encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, cultures, identities, and abilities. We believe diversity makes us better, and we’re committed to providing an inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone can thrive.
