PROJECT MANAGER

Location: Reading, Berkshire (RG30 4EJ)

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of lifecycle projects, variations, and small works within a healthcare environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

About the Role

As Project Manager, you will build strong, strategic relationships with stakeholders and oversee the full project lifecycle—from planning and financial close to implementation. You’ll ensure compliance with healthcare standards and optimise processes to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver projects on time and within agreed parameters.
• Allocate and oversee projects across the estate, liaising with stakeholders.
• Set up or update planned maintenance regimes for new assets within the CAFM system.
• Act as Authorised Person for relevant disciplines in line with Healthcare Technical Memorandum (HTM) requirements.
• Maintain accurate lifecycle expenditure forecasts (annual and five-year) and report monthly to the Senior Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, NHS HTM guidance, and risk management protocols.
• Oversee contractor management, including procurement, mobilisation, site setup, progress meetings, and project handover.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven technical/M&E project management experience, ideally within healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of Healthcare Technical Memorandum (HTM) or equivalent.
• Minimum HND in Building Services or Engineering (desirable).
• Practical understanding of CDM Regulations and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
• Experience of AutoCAD and project management tools (e.g. Monday.com) is beneficial.
• NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely qualification (desirable).
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (i.e. RIBA stages).
