Mainstay Marine is seeking a dynamic and driven Project Manager to join our Operations Team. This is a pivotal role where you’ll lead the delivery of Marine Services Projects focused in servicing and maintaining of Commercial Vessels.

Job Description: To lead and deliver projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and clients
- Accountable for the successful delivery of assigned projects, Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Ensuring compliance with Mainstay’s Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) processes throughout the project life-cycle
- Accountable for developing and maintaining detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, identification of resource requirements, communicating requirements to the production manager in a timely manner.
- Responsible for ensuring timely procurement of materials and equipment in line with project schedules and verifying that all procured materials meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Consult with the Technical team to integrate engineering input into project planning and risk management and facilitate resolution of technical issues during project execution
- Responsible for ensuring that project plan tasks are clearly communicated and that all necessary information is accurately conveyed to the production team to enable successful execution on the shop floor
- Responsible for being the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication of project status, risks and changes.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the Risk Register and Issues Register for each project
- Responsible for managing effective change control processes to manage scope, cost, and schedule variations, ensuring all changes are documented, approved and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Responsible for liaising with the Finance Department to ensure that invoices for stage payments, variation payments and final payment are issued accordingly. Work with the finance team to ensure the company cashflow is up to date for the projects
- Responsible for Coordinating the efforts of the Technical, Production and Quality Departments to ensure that all final tests or trials are carried out in a timely manner, and that all deliverables are available to the client on completion of the contracts.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Proficient in managing project budgets and financial tracking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
