The Project Manager role starts at the very beginning of a project. The Project Manager enters details of all their opportunities into our CRM system and updates accordingly as the projects moves from opportunity to proposal to a win. At which time the Project Manager needs to work with the assigned Project Controller to move the opportunity into Deltek Maconomy where all costs and expenses on a project are managed

You will be part of our project management and Data Centre communities delivering a range of construction projects in the UK and internationally for our clients. Our PM and Data Centre teams are linked into the overall Ramboll Buildings Business Area.

Your new role

Your key responsibilities will be:
- Delivery of projects from inception to completion to budget, time and quality, ensuring that scope, contracts, programmes, change management, risk registers, budgets and QA procedures are all in place and maintained through the life of a project
- Communicate with and represent the Client’s interest and provide a professional and cost-effective service that meets the Stakeholder’s expectations
- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques & Change Orders
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
- Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
- Assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of all project activity including Monthly Reports, Minutes and (MS Project) Programmes, and delivery of presentations when required
- Ensuring coordinated and high-quality deliverables and outputs from our multidisciplinary teams
- Developing safe, sustainable and profitable solutions
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- In conjunction with the Project Controller, prepare all Monthly Project invoices within the first 2 weeks of month end
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Managing the design process through design workshops and leading project meetings
- Management of sub-consultants as the project requires, typically this may be architects, planning consultants, cost managers or specialist designers

- Minimum HNC/HND in a Building/Civil Engineering or related discipline (MEP)
- Ability to convert client requirements into fee proposals.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Track record demonstrating experience of the design and construction process in the Data Centre sector
- Experience of managing commercial processes on projects
- An understanding of procurement methods and contract administration requirements
- Ability to write high quality reports and be able to interrogate financial information
- Preferably a member or an associate member of an appropriate construction focused association or Institute (APM / ICE) etc. If not currently a member of such organisation Ramboll will support you to work towards and achieve this qualification within a reasonable agreed timeframe
- You are a confident communication and listener
- You have the ability to manage multiple stakeholder requirements and then communicate these requirements back to the project teams, often across geographical borders
